Good People Behind the Wines

We share a pursuit of making great wines and a passion for the culture and conversation around it.

With the simple intent of making delicious wines for sharing with friends and family, Angela Vineyards was launched by the Beck family in 2006 in the small town of Carlton, Oregon. Today, our team hails from three continents, bringing a range of experiences and expertise to this ambitious project. Aligned in our values, together we craft a portfolio of wines that are the best expressions of this special place in the Willamette Valley, and share them with our community in thoughtfully designed spaces with inspired hospitality. We are dedicated to a legacy of sustainability for future generations and in giving back to our community. Get to know us.

Meet the Team Making it Happen

Alban Debeaulieu

Alban Debeaulieu leads the evolution of Angela Vineyards, producing an exacting style of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that is full of life and expressive of the vineyards where they are grown. Alban was born in the Loire Valley of France. He studied agronomics and viticulture in French Catalonia for two years before moving to Burgundy to further his studies. For the three years that followed he lived in both Dijon and Beaune completing a Bachelor in viticulture and aMaster’s in winemaking & Enology while working harvests in Beaujolais as well as for the Drouhin family inBurgundy.

In 2013, Alban moved to Oregon to work a second harvest at Domaine Drouhin Oregon, then took a position as assistant winemaker at White Rose Estate. In 2016, Alban joined Chapter 24 Vineyards and 00Wines as winemaker before arriving at Angela Estate in May, 2017.

Heath Payne

As our Viticulturist, Heath is responsible for year-round management of over 360 acres of vineyards, farmland, and forest. Having experience in both vineyards and the cellar, Heath is dedicated to regenerative farming using an organic and biodynamic farm program, eliminating all herbicides, and expanding the species of plants grown to support polyculture and native habitats and species. He believes in the strong connection between the vine, surrounding habitats, the hands that labor in the vineyard, and the wine that is made, and applies the ideas and his passion to the farming practices he creates at Angela Vineyards.

Antony & Angela Beck

Second Generation Vintner and Proprietor Antony Beck, along with his wife, Angela, and their family, had a vision to build upon the family legacy of winegrowing, and explore the possibilities of another New World region.
