At Angela Vineyards, slow and thoughtful work prevails. Relying on classical approaches to winemaking and attention to detail in the cellar to craft wines that express vintage and farming practices.

We produce only two bottles: Willamette Valley Chardonnay and Yamhill-Carlton Pinot Noir. By specializing in only two varieties, we bring you wine with purpose. We work exclusively with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir as these varieties perform exceptionally well in Willamette Valley.

Although the Willamette Valley is nearly halfway around the world from Burgundy, there are striking similarities. Its cool climate, diverse soils, long growing season, and significant diurnal temperature variation create an ideal environment for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes to ripen slowly and evenly. The resulting wines are textured, elegant and complex.

The resulting wines are textured, elegant and complex. Our area’s rain shadow, ancient marine sediment soils, and natural deficit-irrigation effect contribute to powerful fruit aromas complimented by minerality, reflecting the distinctiveness of the Yamhill-Carlton AVA.

Guided by good, we aim to farm the land responsibly and sustainably and harness minimal intervention winemaking principles in the vineyard and cellar.
Our winemaker Alban Debeaulieu is guided first by what the vineyard provides, handling each vintage with a light touch and gentle coaxing to bring out the purity and individuality inherent in each wine.
All our grapes are hand harvested, carefully sorted either by whole berry or whole cluster, and encouraged into fermentation naturally, with the help of native yeasts and gentle extraction methods. Our wines then enjoy generous time in barrel, lending structure and gravitas, and are unfined and loosely filtered as the vintage allows to preserve expression and elegance. This process allows our wines to develop their unique identity, while remaining true to the essence of their origins.
